WOW!!! Three weeks ago I barely knew what blogging was. I heard of it but had no idea that so many people were using it to connect all over the planet on so many divers topics. I logged in to my blog this morning eager to see if anyone out in cyberspace had found me and left a comment. I was also eager to write a couple of post about our experience lastnight at FPU and about my progress with preperation for the launch of MISSION 1 on our physique transformation. Well….I clicked on the the link for “other topics you might be interested in”…….needless to say….more than two hours later and I am just now finding my way back here to make my post for the day. Talk about getting bogged down…LOL.
FPU – Well, Cindy and I attended the first class lastnight. It was great! Very informative and entertaining as well. We left feeling encouraged about the future….yet sad about the past. Mistakes have been made in the past but we realize that we can’t dwell there. We have to press forward!!! One key thing that we both picked up on was the concept on Baby Steps…..the concept that sometimes Goals can look so far away that you may think “I’ll never get there” thus you will reinforce your own negative self-talk and your own limiting beliefs but if you break it down into Baby Steps and you continually move forward in those baby steps you will get there…..what’s the saying “yard by yard everything is hard but inch by inch everything’s a cinch”…something like that anyway..LOL. So that has lead me to my next topic and somewhat revelation.
In planning my launch for MISION 1 of our physique transformation I had decided to purchase the Metabolic-surge program to accompany our BFFM meal plans. I made the purchase a prepared to eagerly devour the material. Lastnights revelation of applying baby steps to reaching goals made me think that perhaps I may be setting myself up for trouble because I am trying to do too much too soon. Perhaps I should break our physique transformation down into baby steps. Maybe just focus on developing good habits by getting 5-6 calorie counted meals in a day and charted excercise everyday and of course being accountable by maintaining this blog. Establishing 12 weeks of that kind of effort will be amazing for our MISSION 1. Then in MISSION 2 we can move into more advanced training and dieting concepts. I am curious to know anyone’s thoughts!!!
Have a great day!!
P.S. I was not succesful in my goal of captureing new pics and stats lastnight (got home late from FPU class) so I am actively moveing it forward as a task to complete tonight…..wish me luck!

Today Cindy and I go to our first class of the 13 week long course for Financial Peace University. This course is by Dave Ramsey. Financial Peace University is a life-changing program that teaches you how to make the right decisions with your money. We will be empowered with the practical skills and confidence needed to achieve our financial goals and experience true financial peace!
Cindy and I both have experienced financial turmoil throughout our lives. I have filed bankruptcy in the past and consider financial strife to be one of the biggest conflicts in my life. I have been an absent participant in my own finances for my entire life up to this point. Cindy has done the absolute best job that she can handling our finances since we’ve been together and it has been a major source of stress on her. It is my sincere desire to enter into this next 13 weeks with her as a partner and for us to grow and learn to handle financial matters together cohesively as one and for us to experience the freedom and peace that God would have for us.
I can not wait to see what God has instore for us when we finally committ it all to his honor and glory. As my daughter Erica would say “I’m waiting on you Lord”

Good morning cyber world!!! I am stepping out on faith and saying good morning to all my new shredder friends as well!!! I am going to spend some time today going through my thought processes for the launch of MISSION 1. I am tentively thinking that it will begin on Monday Feb. 9th. In preperation for the launch I am committed to read BFFM again cover to cover and more specifically I am going reread chapter 1 five times through. I will prepare my new goal card and my eating plan for the first week. I will also develope a dedicated excercise schedule to follow.
I had set a goal yesterday of haveing new pictures and stats to post today…….however….I did not meet that goal. I can make a dozen or more excuses….but I won’t!! No excuses anymore…only accountability from now on….either you do it or you don’t. I’ll be back later today to update post. Bye for now!!
UPDATE!! I have settled on the Metabolic-surge Program to use for MISSION 1. I read all of what Adam had to say about it and I figure it’s as good a method of training as any. I appears to go synergistically with BFFM and instead of going through the stress of designing my own program. Over the years I have followed many different bodybuilding and powerlifting routines….usually the latest thing published in whichever magazine I was reading at the time..LOL. I’m sure some of you know hwo that goes. Anyway I have a bunch of reading to do over the next 5 days. Countdown to launch of Mission 1.

OK….I am going to have to get off here and get some other stuff done. This will be the last post for day two. I will try to have new pics and stats for tomorrow (Day 3). I also have got to figure out how to send this to Adam so I can even be considered for participation in the RTP 30 day challenge. Wish me luck. Can’t wait to actually be able to interact with ya’ll.

This was my first "Before & After" for my BFFM goal card.
I carried this card in my pocket for several weeks but somehow let it slip away before the habit was formed. I am so drastically hopeing that doing this blog is going to help me get past those hurdles that have gotten in my way in the past. I hope all you shredders find this post and help me to stay accountable.

Sept. of 2006
This is one of my first “before” pics taken in Sept. of 2006. I had just gotten the BFFM ebook and was excited about getting started. Ain’t I a sight to behold…LOL
According to my records I was 286 lbs. and my BF% measured by 3-site skinfold was 28.8% and measured by handheld Omron (BEI) was 31.4%. My BMI calculated out to be 38. I think I was wearing somewhere between a 40″-42″ in the waiste.

OK….here we are day number two. I still don’t fully understand how to go about this but I am stepping out on faith believeing that this is the component (the component of positive pressure and accountability) that will finally make all this stuff I have been filling my mind with for years come to some kind of cohesive bond or jell so-to-speak. I’m going to keep this short because I’m not sure if I can even get it published….LOL….yesterday I spent over 45 minutes writing my first post ever and then lost it somehow. Anyway…..going to push the publish button now.
UPDATE!! Hot dog looky there!!!! I actually got the blog rolls set up as links…..maybe I will get the hang of this after all…..LOL

WOW…..I really suck at blogging….LOL! Terrible way to start this off but it is the truth. It has taken me several weeks to get the blog set up just to the meager level that exist now. I just spent 45 minutes writing the first post and now after what I thought was “previewing” it……I can’t find it!!!! It’s gone!!! So I am doing this quick little post to try and discover what I did wrong. Lord…help me through all this!! Technology….what are we going to do with it…….LOL
